We are a Law Enforcement Officer-owned business located in south-central Montana proudly serving primarily Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, the Dakotas and beyond.  Our clients include schools, sober-living/treatment facilities, heavy industries, correctional/detention facilities, public event centers and the United States government among others.

K316 Detection LLC was formed in 2022 when K9 “Mira” was retired by her law enforcement agency following marijuana legislation changes, leaving our area void of K9s capable of detecting marijuana among other controlled substances.  Our K9 team has 18+ years of law enforcement experience including vast training in drug interdiction and Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).  In addition to our law enforcement background, we have specialized training in the oilfield and pipeline industry.  Due to our unique background we understand case-law, have successful cases and can testify where other contractors can't.

Thanks to our great support system we expanded to provide more service coverage with the addition of K9 "Arrow" in the explosives-detection field in 2023, became an authorized dealer of Night Ride Thermal imaging technology in 2024 and expanded to K9 pipeline leak detection in 2025 with the addition of K9 "Daisy".
